Accessibility Statement

Our commitment. Prisma Pi wants children, families, educators, and other visitors with disabilities to be able to use prisma-pi.com and its educational multiplication content.

This statement describes our accessibility goal, the measures we take, known limitations, and how to request help.

1 Our accessibility goal

We aim to make the Prisma Pi website conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG is an international technical standard developed by the World Wide Web Consortium to improve access for people with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We have not completed an independent accessibility audit and do not currently claim that every page, game interaction, or third-party component fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

2 Scope of this statement

This statement applies to the pages and original content controlled by Prisma Pi at https://prisma-pi.com. It also discusses the embedded GDevelop or gd.games multiplication game because that game appears directly within the website.

Prisma Pi provides outbound links to YouTube and other educational resources. Once a visitor follows an external link, the accessibility of that separate website, video player, or content is controlled by the third-party provider and is not covered by our conformance goal.

3 Measures we seek to implement

As Prisma Pi is developed and maintained, we seek to: use meaningful page titles, headings, landmarks, lists, labels, and link text; provide text alternatives for meaningful images and avoid using images of text when practical; support keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator and a logical focus order; avoid interactions that require only a mouse, precise dragging, or complex gestures when an alternative can be provided; use sufficient color contrast and avoid communicating essential information by color alone; support browser zoom, text resizing, and reflow without unnecessary loss of content or function; respect reduced-motion preferences and avoid flashing content that could create a seizure risk; provide captions, transcripts, or an accessible text alternative for Prisma Pi audio and video content when needed; write instructions, labels, and error messages in clear language suitable for children and adults; and test important pages and interactions with automated checks, keyboard-only use, and representative assistive technologies when feasible.

4 Accessibility for young learners

Prisma Pi is designed primarily for children approximately 6 to 8 years old. We seek to use readable text, consistent navigation, clear instructions, uncluttered layouts, and controls that are large enough to identify and activate.

We also seek to avoid unnecessary time limits and to provide enough time for children to read, understand, and answer. Educational feedback should not depend solely on color or sound. Where a game activity is not accessible to a child, we will consider a reasonable alternative format or activity when one can be provided.

5 Embedded GDevelop game

The multiplication game is created with GDevelop and delivered through an embedded game hosted by GDevelop or gd.games. The embedded game uses interactive graphics and may not expose every visual object, status message, score, or game control to all screen readers or other assistive technologies.

Keyboard access, focus behavior, text scaling, motion, audio cues, and compatibility with assistive technology may also vary depending on the game build, browser, device, and GDevelop platform. We are working to identify and reduce barriers within the parts of the game we can configure or redesign.

If the embedded game cannot be used with your assistive technology, contact us and describe the multiplication activity you were trying to complete. We will review whether instructions, practice material, or another reasonable accessible alternative can be provided.

6 Videos and external educational resources

Prisma Pi may link to educational videos hosted on YouTube. We seek to select resources with accurate captions or other accessible support when practical, but we do not create or control every linked video, caption track, advertisement, recommendation, or player feature.

Parents, guardians, and educators should review external materials for suitability and accessibility before asking a child to use them. Please tell us if a linked resource has inaccessible or inaccurate captions, lacks an essential transcript, or presents another barrier so we can consider replacing it or providing an alternative.

7 Compatibility

Prisma Pi is intended to work with current versions of commonly used browsers and operating systems. Accessibility generally works best when the browser, operating system, and assistive technology are kept up to date.

Older browsers, unsupported devices, restrictive school networks, browser extensions, and third-party content may affect performance or accessibility. We do not guarantee compatibility with every combination of browser, device, or assistive technology.

8 Known limitations

Without limiting the issues described above, current or potential limitations include: some game graphics, animations, or changing status information may not have complete text equivalents; some game controls may require improved keyboard operation or clearer focus indication; game layouts may not reflow or magnify as well as the surrounding website; sound or visual effects may occasionally communicate information that needs an additional equivalent cue; embedded third-party interfaces may not fully follow Prisma Pi's accessibility settings; and captions or transcripts for third-party videos may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable.

Listing a limitation does not mean that every visitor will experience it. It means that we do not want to overstate the present level of accessibility and that these areas should receive particular attention during testing and improvement.

9 Feedback and assistance

If you experience an accessibility barrier, need information in another format, or have a suggestion, contact us at info@prisma-pi.com with the subject line Accessibility.

When possible, include the page or game name, the web address, what you were trying to do, the barrier you encountered, and the browser, device, or assistive technology you were using. Please do not include unnecessary personal information about a child.

We will review accessibility feedback and try to provide a reasonable response or alternative. The time needed will depend on the nature of the request, whether a third-party provider is involved, and the complexity of the change.

10 Assessment and continuing improvement

Our current accessibility assessment is based on internal review, development practices, and user feedback. Prisma Pi has not yet obtained a formal third-party accessibility certification or conformance report.

We plan to review accessibility when adding or materially changing important pages, game mechanics, video content, or third-party components. Automated tools can help find some issues, but they do not replace keyboard testing, assistive-technology testing, or feedback from people with disabilities.

11 Standards and legal context

Our technical goal is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In the United States, the Department of Justice explains that the Americans with Disabilities Act applies to the goods, services, privileges, or activities offered by covered businesses on the web, although the legal requirements applicable to a particular website depend on the facts and jurisdiction.

Other countries and regions may impose additional accessibility requirements. This statement describes Prisma Pi's accessibility efforts and does not limit any rights available under applicable law.
