Terms of Service / TOS
Parent/guardian notice: Prisma Pi is designed for children ages 6-8. An adult should review these Terms and supervise a child's use of the website and external links.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of prisma-pi.com and the educational content, games, and links available through it (collectively, "Prisma Pi" or the "Service"). Prisma Pi is operated by Prisma Pi, LLC ("Prisma Pi," "we," "us," or "our").
1. Acceptance of These Terms
Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using Prisma Pi, an adult user agrees to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Prisma Pi is designed primarily for children approximately 6 to 8 years old. A child is not expected to enter into a contract with us. A parent or legal guardian who permits a child to use Prisma Pi accepts these Terms on the adult's own behalf and is responsible for supervising the child's use of the Service. Teachers and other adults who allow children to use Prisma Pi must have any authorization required by their school, organization, and applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived, including mandatory consumer-protection rights.
2. About Prisma Pi
Prisma Pi is an educational website that helps children practice multiplication through browser-based games and links to educational videos and resources. The game is created with GDevelop and is embedded from GDevelop's gd.games service. Prisma Pi may also link to YouTube and other third-party educational websites.
The Service currently does not require children to create an account, submit an email address, make a purchase, or upload content. Prisma Pi does not currently offer subscriptions or school accounts under these Terms. If paid services, accounts, classroom tools, or other material features are introduced later, additional or updated terms may apply before those features are used.
3. Children and Adult Supervision
Prisma Pi is intended to be used with the knowledge and supervision of a parent, legal guardian, teacher, or other responsible adult. Adults should help children understand safe internet practices and should supervise any visit to a third-party website.
Children should not send us or enter into the Service their name, email address, telephone number, home or school address, photograph, voice recording, or other personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Prisma Pi, contact us promptly at info@prisma-pi.com.
Use of information associated with the Service is addressed in the Prisma Pi Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
4. Permission to Use the Service
Subject to these Terms, Prisma Pi grants users a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for noncommercial educational purposes.
Parents, guardians, and educators may display Prisma Pi for individual or group instruction, provided they do not charge separately for access to Prisma Pi, copy substantial portions of the Service, remove notices, or represent Prisma Pi content as their own. Any broader commercial, publishing, redistribution, or institutional use requires our prior written permission.
5. Acceptable Use
You may use Prisma Pi only lawfully and for its intended educational purposes. You must not, and must not help anyone else to: copy, reproduce, republish, sell, license, or distribute the Service or its content except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law; reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, extract, or attempt to obtain source code, game logic, assets, or nonpublic data, except where applicable law expressly permits it; use bots, scrapers, automated tools, or excessive requests to access, monitor, or burden the Service; bypass security, access controls, consent controls, or technical restrictions; interfere with the operation, security, or availability of Prisma Pi, gd.games, or any connected service; introduce malware, harmful code, or material that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or infringes another person's rights; collect information about children or other users through the Service; use Prisma Pi content or data to train an artificial-intelligence model or build a competing service without written permission; or use the Service in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of another person.
We may block or restrict access when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, the Service or its users are at risk, or action is required by law.
6. Intellectual Property
Prisma Pi and its original text, graphics, characters, branding, game designs, audiovisual materials, software, and educational content are owned by or licensed to Prisma Pi, LLC and are protected by intellectual-property laws. The Prisma Pi name, logos, and related branding may not be used without prior written permission.
The Service also contains third-party software, platforms, media, fonts, and other materials governed by their own licenses and terms. GDevelop, gd.games, YouTube, Google, and other third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners. No ownership rights are transferred to you under these Terms.
If you voluntarily send us comments, ideas, or error reports, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use them to operate and improve Prisma Pi, without an obligation to compensate you. Do not include a child's personal information in feedback.
7. Embedded Game and Third-Party Services
The Prisma Pi game is delivered through an embedded GDevelop/gd.games service. When the game loads, the user's browser communicates directly with GDevelop or its service providers. Use of that embedded service may also be subject to GDevelop's applicable terms and privacy practices.
Prisma Pi may use Google Analytics and may provide ordinary outbound links to YouTube or other educational resources. Selecting a link may take the user away from Prisma Pi. Third-party services are operated independently, may change their content or practices, and may have their own terms, privacy policies, cookies, age requirements, advertising, or parental controls.
We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services or content. A link or embed does not mean that Prisma Pi endorses every item, advertisement, recommendation, or practice on the third-party service. Parents and guardians should review and supervise children's use of third-party services.
8. Educational Purpose; No Professional Advice
Prisma Pi is a supplemental educational resource. It is not a school, tutoring service, assessment provider, childcare service, or substitute for a qualified teacher or other professional. We do not guarantee any particular learning outcome, grade, test result, curriculum alignment, or rate of progress.
Adults remain responsible for deciding whether the content is suitable for a particular child, classroom, device, and curriculum. If a child has specific learning, developmental, accessibility, or medical needs, seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
9. Availability and Changes to the Service
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue content or features; correct errors; perform maintenance; or change how the Service is delivered. We do not promise that Prisma Pi or any particular game, video, link, or feature will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or compatible with every browser, device, network, or assistive technology.
We may update content to improve accuracy or educational value, but we do not guarantee that all content will always be complete, current, or error-free.
10. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRISMA PI IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." PRISMA PI, LLC DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET EVERY USER'S NEEDS; PRODUCE A PARTICULAR EDUCATIONAL RESULT; OR BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRISMA PI, LLC AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR USE, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO PRISMA PI, THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF PRISMA PI, LLC. FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE FREE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED US $100.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, which may include liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or violation of non-waivable consumer rights.
12. Responsibility for Misuse
To the extent permitted by law, an adult or organization using Prisma Pi agrees to be responsible for claims, losses, and reasonable costs resulting from that user's unlawful misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person's rights. This section does not impose contractual responsibility on a child and does not apply where prohibited by law.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Before filing a formal claim, an adult user and Prisma Pi should first try in good faith to resolve the matter by written notice to info@prisma-pi.com and allow 30 days for a response.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be brought in a state or federal court in Texas that has jurisdiction. Users may also bring an eligible claim in small-claims court. Consumers outside Texas retain any mandatory protections and forum rights provided by the law of their place of residence.
These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive any right that cannot legally be waived.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security practices, or third-party services. We will post the revised Terms and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate or legally required.
Changes apply prospectively from the stated effective date. Continuing to use the Service after that date means an adult user accepts the revised Terms. If you do not agree to a revision, stop using the Service.
15. General Provisions
These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between an adult user and PRISMA PI, LLC. concerning the current Service, unless separate written terms apply to a future feature or arrangement.
If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be modified only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, reorganization, sale of assets, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law.
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Section headings are for convenience only. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, dispute, and general provisions.
